Single Review: OTT - Let Me In

"Let Me In" is a pop song by Irish boyband Over The Top or more popular with their name OTT. This song is a cover song originally by American band The Osmonds. OTT first released this pop song as their single on October 14, 1996 in Ireland under Sony Music's Epic Records label, where it reached #2 on the Irish Singles Chart. Following this success, the single was re-released for the UK market on March 23, 1997, climbing to #12 on the UK Singles Chart. The track was produced by Steve Levine (known for his work with Culture Club) and was the third single taken from their debut and only studio album "This One's For You," which was released on May 5, 1997 through Epic Records (Catalog Number: EPC 486999).
The song showcases the vocal talents of Niall O'Neill, Alan Fitzsimons, Alan Mates (known as 'Adam'), and Glen Clarke, who continued as a four-piece after Keith Cox left the group prior to their UK launch. What makes their version special is how they've transformed a classic into a contemporary pop ballad that perfectly captures the 90s boyband sound while maintaining the emotional essence of the original. The CD single (Catalog Number: 664558 2) includes three tracks: the radio edit, an extended version, and an exclusive B-side titled "Always There For You" which isn't available on the album. For anyone who enjoys 90s pop music, OTT's "Let Me In" offers that perfect blend of heartfelt lyrics, smooth harmonies, and polished production that defined the era.
