Single Review: Anggun - Snow On The Sahara

"Snow On The Sahara" is Anggun's first single from her international debut album, "Snow On The Sahara" in 1998. The song was also recorded in French language titled "La neige au Sahara" on album "Au Nom de la Lune" in 1997. The song has also been used in a Swatch commercial in 1999.

The song was written, produced and arranged by Erick Benzi and later adapted into English by songwriter Nikki Matheson. The song remains to be Anggun's signature song across the world and catapulted Anggun's fame in international music scene in 1997 and 1998. Sarah Brightman also did a cover version of this song on her The Harem World Tour: Live from Las Vegas album. The song is mainly built on synthesizers and keyboards sounds, mixed with tribal beats. It is considered to be an Adult Contemporary song by some, whilst some other may consider it a World Music song.

Celebnews: Lindsay Lohan Ordered To Wear Alcohol-Monitoring Bracelet By Judge

On Monday (May 24), a stern Superior Court judge warned troubled actress Lindsay Lohan that she needs to keep on the straight and narrow if she wishes to avoid a return trip to jail. After Lohan missed her initial court date last week, claiming that her passport was stolen while she was attending the Cannes film festival in France, CBS News reported that a "somber and concerned" looking Lohan appeared in a Beverly Hills, California, courtroom and lost a bid to ease the restrictions of her probation.

Wearing a dark gray suit, Lohan appeared in court with her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, who told Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel that her client was scheduled to start filming a movie in Texas soon. The judge was not swayed and said the actress may have to delay the project, ordering Lohan to attach a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet to her ankle that will require her to undergo mandatory drug testing every week in the Los Angeles area if she wishes to stay free on bail. Revel also set a probation-violation hearing for July 6 following Lohan's failure to attend last week’s scheduled hearing.

In an interview with Hollywood TV published Monday, Lohan argued that she doesn't need jail or rehab, saying, "I don't see what reason I would go to prison for. I've been more than compliant with everything having to do with the court system". Though she has frequently been pictured partying until all hours of the morning, Lohan said she didn't think she needed to make a return trip to rehab. "I don't see why I would even have to do that", she said, "considering I've been in compliance with everything that occurs when you're in the court system for two DUIs".

According to TMZ, Lohan must begin wearing the SCRAM bracelet — which she wore in 2007 following her plea in the DUI cases — within 24 hours and attend all her scheduled alcohol education classes at least once a week.

If Revel determines that Lohan violated her probation by not attending her alcohol education classes as ordered, she could face a jail sentence of up to 180 days.

Classic Hits: A-Teens - Can't Help Falling In Love

"Can't Help Falling In Love" was the A*Teens's first single from their third album "Pop 'Til You Drop!", as well as for the Lilo & Stitch movie soundtrack, which was originally scheduled to include several Presley tracks, the A*Teens picking it for inclusion in the soundtrack. The video had thus tremendous exposure on several television channels, with the A*Teens eventually including the song in their third album. As a result, the song had two music videos, one to promote the Disney movie, the other for the album.

This pop song was a radio hit in the United States, and reached #12 in Sweden, #16 in Argentina and #41 in Australia. Despite the success of the song overseas, it failed to attract the rest of the Latin American public, due to the fact that there was a Spanish version of the song, performed by the Argentine group, Bandana. In addition, the A*Teens' version of the song was overshadowed by the promotion of Bandana's version.

The video was directed by Gregory Dark and filmed in Los Angeles, California. It had two different versions. The "Disney Version", as the fans named it, features scenes of the movie, and also new scenes of the A*Teens with beach costumes. The "A*Teens Version" of the video, features the A*Teens on the white background with different close-ups and choreography, and scenes with puppies and different costumes.

"Can't Help Falling In Love" was released by Walt Disney Records and Universal Music on 29 October 2002 with CD single format.

Celebnews: Farrah Franklin Would Do Destiny's Child Reunion

Despite having not spoken to any of Destiny’s Child in the 10 years that followed her unceremonious ousting from the group, Farrah Franklin has revealed that she is open to reuniting with the group's members.

"Right now, I'm kind of hearing about it with everyone else. It hasn't been presented to me yet. When it does or if it does, I'll deal with it as that. I'll have to see if it's something in real talks or if it's fake".
The singer, who last spoke to Beyoncé ten years ago, added: "I'm really a personable person and I would just want everyone to get along. Little Farrah has a lot on her shoulders and all I ask is happiness in return and for it to be fun. There's so many different personalities and it's been a long time, so you just don't know. I would be cool with everyone, I have no problems, but it's not about just me. There's five other people.”

Celeb Pictures: Christina Aguilera From Out Magazine

Christina Aguilera who is gearing up to release her new album in June did a new interview for Out Magazine where she pokes fun at Lady Gaga saying "Oh, the newcomer? I think she’s really fun to look at..". She also defends how she isn't copying or being Lady Gaga by saying "I’m a little under a rock where some things are concerned".

In the 3 page long article interview, this comes out and very interesting to read about Aguilera opinion on Lady Gaga songs.

Gaga writes hooks with nursery rhyme simplicity, easy to hum and hard to forget. Aguilera foregoes hooks for vocal virtuosity, though she admits, “it’s a little more off-putting to the general public because it’s not easy to sing along to.” Gaga talks about art and sings about cell phone reception and disco sticks. Aguilera isn’t given to public pronouncements outside her narrow area of expertise and sings about vulnerability and expectation, loss and strength, abuse and acceptance. Gaga is her art, she claims. Aguilera says, “I used to think, My art is me, and it’s just not like that. You can’t be that egotistical.” Gaga is topiary, highly pruned and stylized. Aguilera is a jungle, wild and overgrown.

In the meanwhile she's defending herself and explaining about Lady Gaga who she admits clear and loud she's not trying to be, her single is not doing well on the charts and her album is getting really bad buzz from the press and the clips that leaked yesterday ain't doing any justice to make it better and people are saying they suck.

Check out some pictures from the photo shoot for the magazine above and if you are really bored or curious what Aguilera has to say you can read the 3 page long interview she did for the magazine here.

Celebnews: Miley Cyrus Is Growing Up Into A Classy Young Lady... NOT

Radar Online, who probably have hidden cameras located in your crotch area, are reporting on a shocking video with our very own little Miley Cyrus. The report states Cyrus, 17, was videotaped "grinding", "giving a lap dance" and behaving in an inappropriate manner with the 40-year old producer of her latest film The Last Song.

Producer Adam Shankman, who is an openly gay man, posted very suggestive pictures on his Twitter account with of he and Cyrus last year. Those images caused a tabloid frenzy at the time, but are said to be the tip of the iceberg compared to the video, which was taken during a wrap party for the film seven months ago.

Radar, who has seen the video, is reporting a source as saying, "The worst part is that there were little kids at the party and the dancing between Miley and Adam was so dirty that some of the parents actually left the party and took their kids home".

Are they sure it wasn't a Cyrus home movie they saw? Sounds about like what we've seen out of Miley's younger sister, Noah.

Some close to the controversy are concerned Miley is heading down a dangerous path, one already worn bare by the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, two fellow Disney graduates. What is about Disney and slutty behavior? Ho hum, Mickey's a freak I guess.

As if any of this is a surprise to anyone. I've been harping incessantly on Miley "I can't wait to slut it up" Cyrus for two years now. While her parents turn a blind eye to her behavior, in some ways, practically encouraging it, her audience is quickly turning on her. Miley wants to so bad to transition from teen sensation to adult film star (pun intended) that she's utterly clueless what awaits her.

Considering the terrible reviews she received for her performance in The Last Song, you'd think she try a little harder to hang on to the last vestige of paying fans she has. The only people awaiting Miley at the end of this treacherous 'ho road, are dirty minded men and porn industry workers.

Mark my words, things are NOT going to turn out well for a young woman this self-destructive at such a young age.
