"This I Swear" was the second song by Nick Lachey, this song was dedicated to Jessica Simpson, which he expressed how he felt about the marriage and love he had for his then wife, Jessica Simpson. Part of the song lyrics includes "I Will love you, until forever, until death do us part we'll be together" (which did not come true; they divorced in June 2006). This song was also the theme song to the hit-reality TV show
