Single Review: Amy Pearson - Don't Miss You

"Don't Miss You" is the first single from Amy Pearson's debut album "Who I Am". It charted at number 19 in the ARIA Singles Chart. It was accredited gold with sales of 35,000+. According to Pearson, the song was inspired as a result of a long-distance relationship breakup. To her the song is about realizing that you are better off moving on from a lost relationship, letting go of what you don't need and standing on your own two feet.

Sony BMG Records released this song as CD single on 2 June 2007. This pop rock song was written by Anthony Egizii, David Musumeci and Amy Pearson.

Song Of The Day: Kéllé Bryan - Two Hearts

Kéllé Bryan was a member of U.K. girlgroup Eternal from 1993 to 1998 but was famously sacked from the group by solicitors letter shortly after the release of the group's greatest hits album. In 1999, she signed a solo deal and released her debut single "Higher Than Heaven", which reached #14 in the U.K. Singles Chart. However, in the runup to the release of her second single "I Wanna Know", Kelle was diagnosed with lupus and was not able to promote the single, which was pulled from the release schedule. The album Kéllé had recorded, "Breakfast In Bed", was never released and only her single and the B-Sides like this one, were ever commercially released. She has since become a familiar face on TV and in panto, including taking part in reality show Celebrity Love Island in 2006.

Single Review: Enrique Iglesias - Bailamos

The track first appeared on a limited edition of his spanish studio album "Cosas Del Amor" and was released as a single in parts of Latin America and Europe.

After attending one of Enrique's concerts, Will Smith asked Enrique to contribute to the Soundtrack to his upcoming movie "Wild Wild West" and "Bailamos" was chosen to appear.

The song quickly became most requested on pop radio in New York, Los Angeles and Miami. Due to the song's popularity it was released as a single throughout the world.

In English, "Bailamos" means "We Dance" (We Are Dancing), or in this case, "Let's Dance".

In the United States, the song was seen as part of a wave of crossover music from Latin American singers and a general increase in interest in Latin music, which was started by Ricky Martin's release "Livin' La Vida Loca". The single reached number one on the US pop charts, making it Enrique Iglesias' first chart topper on Billboard's Hot 100.

The success of "Bailamos" was a breakthrough for Iglesias, which enabled him to sign a multi-album deal with Interscope. The song would go on to appear on his debut English album Enrique, though slightly altered to fit with the sound of the album.

"Bailamos" was written and by Paul Barry and Mark Taylor and produced by Barry and Brian Rawling, the same team which wrote and produced Cher's hit Believe.

Album Review: Backstreet Boys - Backstreet's Back

"Backstreet's Back" is the second studio album by the Backstreet Boys, released internationally 11 August 1997 by Jive Records and Trans Continental Records, with the exception of United States. It was a follow-up to their successful self-titled international debut. Some songs from this album and the debut album were compiled into a second self-titled album released only in the United States. There were a few differences between the versions of songs released on this album and the American album. The album also contained the same enhanced section as the American release. The first track recorded for the album was a cover of "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss", which was recorded alongside a new song, "If You Stay", which did not make the final track listing of the album. "Who Do You Love" was performed live but never released as a studio track. The three singles released from this album became three of their most successful and remembered singles.

Album Review: Backstreet Boys - Backstreet Boys

"Backstreet Boys" is the eponymous debut studio album by American boy band Backstreet Boys, released in 1996 by Jive Records. It was a success, becoming one of the biggest debut albums ever, and contains a number of the band's most memorable singles. All of those singles were later released on the second self-titled debut in the United States in 1997, which compiled songs from this album, and the band's second international release "Backstreet's Back". The release date for the disc is somewhat disputed, with some sources listing 1995, and some listing 1996. Some confusion might be due to the release of the different versions of the disc in different markets. Official charts for European countries including Germany, Switzerland and Austria, however, all give a release date of 6 May 1996, and data where available shows the album first appearing on various European charts within a couple of weeks of that date.

Album Review: Gary Barlow - Twelve Months, Eleven Days

"Twelve Months, Eleven Days" is the second solo studio album released by British singer-songwriter Gary Barlow. The album was released by BMG and RCA Records on 11 October 1999.

Following the success of Gary Barlow's debut album "Open Road", expectations were high for his second solo album. However, when the album's lead single, "Stronger", a dance-ballad, was released on 5 July 1999, many fans were unsure of Gary Barlow's change in direction, and the single only peaked at #16 on the U.K. Singles Chart. At the time, the British press had been ridiculing Gary Barlow for not providing the media the headlines that they craved about his private life, and that his ex-bandmate, Robbie Williams, had regularly been in the papers with his erratic behaviour and party lifestyle. In an attempt to create a hype for the album, Gary Barlow released "For All That You Want" as the album's second single, which entered and peaked at #24 on the U.K. Singles Chart.
