Album Of The Day: Britney Spears - Blackout


Finally, Britney Spears' fifth studio album already released by Jive Records on 26 October 2007. The album has also a more R&B / urban sound and recording with new producers such as Danja. "Blackout" was her first studio album in four years since 2003's "In The Zone" and is the first time Britney Spears is the executive producer of one of her albums. The album's title refers to "blacking out negativity and embracing life fully." The songs on the album are thematically focused on sex, love and Britney Spears' relationship–struggle with the media.

Single Of The Day: Take That - Rule The World

English boyband Take That released "Rule The World" as their fifith single from their fourth studio album "Beautiful World" on 21 October 2007 as digital single and 22 October 2007 as CD single. Polydor Records picked this pop rock and adult contemporary song as the final single from "Beautiful World". 

"Rule The World" is the first song written by Take That specifically for a film. Matthew Vaughn, the director of Stardust, contacted Take That in the hope of getting them to write a song for the film. After seeing the film the band members agreed to write and perform a song. The band wrote the chorus of the song while they were in Spain. They played the song for Matthew Vaughn who included it in the end credits of the film. Gary Barlow performs lead vocals. The song is not included on the soundtrack for Stardust, nor on the original release of the album "Beautiful World".

"Because Of You" is a 1998 song by 98 Degrees, released as the second single from their second studio album "98 Degrees And Rising". Album Review: Leigh Nash - Blue On Blue

"Blue On Blue" is Leigh Nash's debut solo album and consists of pop songs. Leigh Nash began working on the album a year after Sixpence None The Richer disbanded. Produced by Pierre Marchand who is best known for his collaborations with Sarah McLachlan. "My Idea Of Heaven" was released to U.S. radio on 14 July 2006. A video was made to accompany the song. 

Commercially, the album did not perform well. One of the main reasons for this is the fact that the album remains unknown among the masses due to the lack of promotion and airplay. So far, it managed to reach at #25 on the U.S. Billboard Top Heatseekers charts. However, the bonus track "Blue Sky" reached at #5 on the Japanese pop music Chart due to its frequent airplay and the advertisement of "Toyota Prius" in Japan in 200.

"The A List" is the second studio album by British-Norwegian boyband A1. The album was released on 30 October 2000, a week to prior to the release of the album's second single "Same Old Brand New You". The album charted higher than its predecessor, perhaps due to the success of the single "Take On Me". The album was certified as Gold in the U.K. Columbia Records released this album with pop genre and some little R&B and dance influenced. It was produced by Alex G, Chris Porter, Stevie Bensusen, Claudio Cueni, Graham Stack and Riprock.

A latin pop song was recorded by Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias for his second international single from his album "Insomniac". Interscope Records released "Tired Of Being Sorry" on 29 September 2007. This is a cover song from indie pop band Ringside and Enrique performed the song exactly like the live performance version when Ringside performed. Though like that, Enrique's version is still having the latin touches.
