English indie-pop band Blossoms released "Your Girlfriend" as their official single under Virgin Records / EMI Records on 20 June 2019.
There's no doubt "Your Girlfriend" is a Blossoms song. Instantly likeable? Check. Insanely catchy? Check? The unexpected and perfectly balanced blend of synths and guitars? Check. But the latest offering from the indie-pop outfit also feels a world away from anything they've done before.
Produced by James Skelly, Rich Turvey and the band at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, The Talking Heads-inspired single comes ahead of their biggest headline show to date at Edgeley Park Stadium in the U.K.

Thanks for the review.
I tend to like Blossoms and be glad for their success. This is not universally true among the indie/alternative rock community with some criticizing the band's willingness to work within a pop format. With that being said, I saw the group live while they were promoting their debut album and was very impressed. This is clearly a group looking to stick around, gain an audience, and have hits across the world, not just in the U.K.
Cheers for the review!
Paul
