Indian actress and recording artist Priyanka Chopra released her debut single "In My City" with American rapper Will.I.Am from The Black Eyed Peas. Electropop and dance-pop is the genre of this music. This awesome song was written by RedOne with Ester Dean and Priyanka Chopra. RedOne with Brian Kennedy  produced the song, also.

Interscope Records released "In My City" as single on 2 October 2012 as digital download at United States while Universal Music India released "In My City" as single on 14 September 2012 on digital download and CD single at India.

In India, On 14 September 2012, the song was released on digital platform Nokia Music and was made available on physical stores as well. The song had shown instant chart action across retail and digital stores. Available for download exclusively on the Nokia Music store, the song peaked to the #1 spot on the International download chart. The CD single format too debuted straight in at the #1 spot on the pan-India Planet M and Music World International Top 20 retail chain charts. As per Universal Music India, reported by The Economic Times the single broked records as the sales crossed 100,000 singles (cumulative) within the first week of its release. The single went triple Platinum in India. In the United States, after the release of the song to iTunes, "In My City" sold about 5,000 digital downloads in first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Priyanka Chopra's vocal on this song fit the catchy dance club song and colaborated so well with Will.I.Am's rap.
