Song Of The Day: Neil Young - The Painter

Canadian musician Neil Young released a country rock "The Paniter" as his track for his studio album "Prairie Wind" on 27 September 2005 under Reprise Hotel. "Prairie Wind" received two Grammy Award nominations at the 2006 Grammy Awards - Best Rock Album of the Year and Best Rock Solo Performance for "The Painter".

A multi-national boyband Worlds Apart released "Back To Where We Started" as their official single from their studio album "Don't Change". Power Brothers Records released this pop song as single in 1997 and this song was written by Graham Stack, Raymond St. John and Steve Hart. "I'm Not Shy" is an official single from English girl group Frank, released in the U.K. on 31 July 2006. It was made available on CD and digital download. It will be included on Frank's upcoming studio album. "I'm Not Shy" was originally recorded by Mania, an act formed from part of the Xenomania songwriting team, and appeared on an album sampler leaked to the internet. The song has since been used by Pett Productions in the television series Tittybangbang.

English-Canadian girl group All Saints released "I Know Where It's At" for the first time at United Kingdom on 18 August 1997. The song was debuted on the National Lottery Live and the first performance on Top Of The Pops was on 2 September 1997.

"I Know Where It's At" was written by Shaznay Lewis and Karl Gordon, and produced by Gordon. Walter Becker and Donald Fagen are credited as writers because the song samples elements from Steely Dan's "The Fez". 

The official music video for "I Know Where It's At" was directed by Alex Hemming. It was the first video All Saints ever released. It was to show the girls in an urban setting as the more streetwise variants of girl groups. The video was shot with very little colour, with the girls almost entirely in black and white.

"Wannabe" is the debut single by the British girl group the Spice Girls. Written by the group members with Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard during the group's first professional songwriting session. It was produced by Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard for the group's debut album "Spice" released on in November 1996. This dance-pop with a little touch of pop rap and hip-hop wannabe is an uptempo dance song. Geri Halliwell and Melanie Brown were rapping on the song. This song is talk about the value of female friendship over the heterosexual bond.  The official music video was produced by Johan Camitz.

Virgin Records released "Wannabe" as Compact Disc single on 8 July 1996, there are also available cassette single and 12-inch single. "Wannabe" gained the success and reached #1 on the U.K. Single Charts in 1996. Also, in 1997 "Wannabe" also reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

American punk rock Green Day released their debut studio album "39 / Smooth" on 13 April 1990 under Lookout Records. Available as vynil and cassette. There are two version of vynil. The first few releases were black vynil and then later in green vynil. This album later in 1991 was released as compact disc with retitle name as "1.039 / Smoothed Out Slappy Hours". Single Of The Day: David Gray - Hospital Food

English singer-songwriter David Gray released a new single "Hospital Food" from his album "Life In Slow Motion". Under Atlantic Records, this single was released as Compact Disc on 28 November 2005. Rock music is still the consistant genre from David Gray and also, he wrote this song with Rob Malone and produced by Marius De Vries.

"Hospital Food" peaked at #34 on the U.K. Singles Chart and received generally negative reviews upon its release.

Single Review: S.O.A.P. - This Is How We Party

"This Is How We Party " is the debut single from Danish pop duo S.O.A.P.. It was their biggest hit, making it into top 10 in many countries, including 10 weeks in the top 5 of the Danish charts and reaching #1 in Sweden. The single was certified platinum in Australia and gold in Sweden. The song was written by Remee Zhivago. A pure bubblegum pop is dominated this song so much with impressive splash. It should have preteens singing along with thoughtless cheers. This single was produced by Holger Lagerfeldt and released under S.O.A.P. Records and Sony Music Entertainment Denmark and released as Compact Disc single on 10 July 1998.

Single Of The Day: Ashlee Simpson - L.O.V.E.

American recording artist Ashlee Simpson released "L.O.V.E." as her second single from her second studio album "I Am Me" on 6 December 2005 under Geffen Records. She recorded this dance-rock song at Henson Recording Studio. 

This song supposed to be the lead single for her "I Am Me", but "Boyfriend" took its place as the lead single. It was written by Ashlee Simpson with Kara DiGuardi and John Shanks. This song is about female friendship, especially when there is a girl among the girlgroup just had her brokenhearted and girlfriends always there to help her, there is no need men around them. 

"L.O.V.E." is like mixed between Britney Spears' "Do Somethin'" and Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" and producing party track that's sure become a dancefloor filler.

Mandy Moore stated that "When I Talk To You" had been written while her and Matthew were waiting to do a soundcheck. "Take 5" is a debut studio album from American boyband Take 5. They were consisting with Tilky Jones, Tim Christofore, Jeff Goodell, Stevie Sculthorpe and Ryan Goodell. Edel Records released "Take 5" on 30 November 1998 as CD album. "I Give" was released as their debut single in November 1998 then "The Tide Is High" was released in early 1999 and also "Never Had It So Good" was chosen as their final single from this album.

Pop Zone: Spice Girls - Christmas Wrapping

"Christmas Wrapping" is a christmas pop song from U.K. girlband Spice Girls. This song for the first time was released as single from American new wave band The Waitresses in 1981, but later Spice Girls covered this song as their B-Side for their "Goodbye" in December 1998. Spice Girls changed some lyrics to be more anglicised to include a reference to British supermarket chain Tesco.
